I was trolled. Not in a viral storm kind of way but in a sneaky, manipulative and semi-public kind of way. It triggered a primal response to go hide and it took months before I even realised I was shying away from any people-facing work. The shaking in my boots anytime I was in the public eye, after years of confident presentations, was a clue that something was ‘off’. Anyway, here I am, back at the blog. Unsilenced again. Back on the wordsmith wagon thanks to supportive friends, the great re-working of my website by Andrea Vanek and some thought-provoking, mind-shifting discussions on trolling by BBC Woman’s Hour. I love their response to this thing.
Be off, trolls.
